BASIC FUNCTION: Manage the daily operation of two assigned homes, supervise direct support staff and ensure the delivery of support services to up to six individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree or equivalent schooling in a related field. At least two years working in a residential setting and management experience preferred.
OR
High school diploma and five years of residential experience and demonstration of management skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure upkeep of all assigned homes and alert administrative staff of any needs.
- Conduct on-site training with newly hired staff using prescribed guidelines and values.
- Manage staff schedules to ensure site coverage per individuals’ needs.
- Manage timely performance evaluations of staff within 3 months of employment and annually thereafter.
- Carry out disciplinary actions as prescribed by agency guidelines.
- Serve as on call support for assigned homes via agency provided cell phone and participate in on call weekend rotation as scheduled.
- Support the maintenance of assigned agency vehicles.
- Ensure that all assigned homes are clean and well organized.
- Manage medication administration to ensure compliance and monitor individuals' medication supply.
- Review individuals' financial documentation on at least a weekly basis.
- Conduct staff meetings on a regular basis (at least monthly).
- Assist individuals with arrangements for transportation via agency van and/or ACCESS.
- Attend individuals' ISP meetings.
- Schedule and accompany individuals to appropriate appointments.
- Ensure that immunizations, written recommendations of providers, and all medical follow-ups are completed as required.
- Collaborate with Residential Team to ensure that regulatory requirements are in compliance.
- Coordinate community activities with/for individuals and ensure appropriate staff support is in place.
- Manage vacant direct care shifts and potentially fill in for emergency situations or other circumstances.
- Work with Quality Coordinator to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Supervise and/or report critical incidents within 24 hours and provide all necessary information.
- Acquire 24 hours of relevant training, including required trainings, during the designated cycle.
- Other duties as assigned.

- To respond to staff, individuals, family members and other professionals in a sensitive and tactful manner.
- To be an advocate and example in the person-centered philosophy.
- To adhere to policies established by CLASS and its relevant funding sources.
- To remain available and accessible to individuals, to ensuring their satisfaction with service provision as well as their health and safety.
